Our summer programme of activities kicked off with the annual London Open Gardens Weekend when the Formosa Garden was opened to the general public on Sunday 9th June 2024.  The scheme gives access to over 100 green spaces not normally accessible to the general public, and this year is celebrating it's 25th year.  ​

0n Wednesday 12th June 2024 we welcomed the touring company Shakespeare in the Squares who presented one of the Bard's lesser known comedies All's Well that Ends Well.  Beverages were offered by the caterers Mosimann's and the whole event was kindly sponsored by Chestertons Estate Agents.

The Family Fun Day was blessed by sunny skies on Saturday 29th June 2024.  Younger residents enjoyed Face Painting, Bouncy Castles, a Surfboard Simulator and Pony Rides.  Competition was fierce in the Great Formosa Bake Off with worthy winners in both categories.  The Lucas Jet Circus Performance kept their audience entranced, followed up by a Kids Disco Party with musical statues and other fun games.  Traditional sports day races with Tug of War challenge followed and the day was wrapped up with Live Music by Havana Good Times with salsa dancing, DJ between sets and special guest star "Dolly Parton" .  Thanks are due to our generous sponsors, The Hampstead Orthodontic Practice, Winkworth estate agents and our agents Westbourne Management.

The 2024 Formosa General Meeting took place on Tuesday 2nd July 2024 at St Saviours Primary School, Shirland Road.  A report of the event can be found on our blog.  Minutes of the meeting and finalised accounts for 2022-23 can be seen on our blog.​

On Thursday 15th August 2024 the garden hosted a convivial Wine Tasting Event.   Wine was provided by The Winery, and entertainment by Just Two Duo.  This event was generously supported by Savills Estate Agents. ​​

The garden was also host to an Open Air Film Night on Sunday 15th September 2024.  The film choice was voted on by residents during August who returned "The Talented Mr Ripley" (1999).

The Formosa Annual Firework Display was held on Saturday 2nd November 2024.  This year's event started at the earlier time of 18.15 to allow everyone to enjoy the bonfire, and the firework display was from 19.00.  The available standing area was increased to improve access - further details are available on our blog.
